Privacy and your information
Information collected by this web chat
Before chatting, you provide your student or staff ID, full name and role. These details are self-declared and checked for format; this website does not verify your identity against university records.
Your ID, name, sign-in time, feedback choices, questions and replies are saved for administrator review and CSV export. Your sign-in details are not sent to the AI tutor.
Session and storage
Details are format-checked and self-declared; this is not Trinity single sign-on. This browser remembers you for up to 12 hours. Sign out on shared devices.
An essential secure cookie remembers your session. Signing out or closing the browser does not delete stored usage records.
Web identity and usage records are stored in the project’s Cloudflare database. Your sign-in name and student or staff ID are not included in requests to the AI tutor. Your questions, recent conversation context and selected feedback style are processed by the existing n8n and AI services, linked by a random session identifier. Avoid including personal identifiers, private student work or confidential information in chat messages.
Providers and research
Relevant chat content is sent to the AI provider. Processing may occur outside the European Economic Area. Provider retention and model-improvement exclusions have not been confirmed. Read the AI provider’s privacy policy and the project privacy information.
No automatic deletion period has been set for these usage records. Contact the project about access, correction or deletion. Where an activity is part of a research study, separate participant information explains its data use and your choices; signing in alone does not mean agreeing to research participation.
